Background: Rafael del Pino, American Citizen of Cuban origin, a critic of Fidel Castro, appeared in Havana Court October 30th for trial on charges of homicide growing out of a ten years old political shooting.
The care was postponed until 20th November due to the illness of Pino's Larger who pleaded he was unable to proceed with the defence.
Del Pino was wounded and burned last July when Cuban police ambushed the plant in which he made a clandestine landing near Havana. The plane was sat alight by gunfire.
For the trial del Pino entered the court on crutches, and reclined on a stretcher outside while awaiting the judges decision about postponement. His pregnant wife sat beside him; she had flown to Havana from Mieni to be with him at the trial.
