TWO CHINESE DIPLOMATS WERE ORDERED OUT OF INDONESIA AND THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA HAS ALSO ORDERED THE INDONESIAN CHARGE D'AFFAIRS TO LEAVE BY THE END OF THIS WEEK.

ON SATURDAY, 400 ARMED TROOPS SEALED OFF THE ROAD TO THE EMBASSY WHILE A CROWD OF THREE-THOUSAND YOUTHS MARCHED THROUGH THE CHINESE DISTRICT, SMASHING WINDOWS, AND BEATING UP CHINESE. THEY MADE A BONFIRE OF CHINESE CARS AND SCOOTERS.

THE RIOTS CONTINUED IN THE INDONESIAN CAPITAL YESTERDAY WHEN INDONESIAN YOUTHS SMASHED AND RANSACKED CHINESE SHOPS IN THE FASHIONABLE KEBAJORAN SUBURB. 32 SHOPS WERE LOOTED BY THE RAMPAGING YOUTHS AND TODAY ALL CHINESE SHOPS AND OFFICES HAVE REMAINED CLOSED AND SHUTTERED.

A STATEMENT FROM ACTING PRESIDENT'S SUHARTO'S OFFICE HAS CALLED ON INDONESIANS TO LET THE GOVERNMENT SETTLE THE CHINESE QUESTION.
