SYNOPSIS: The Belgian team playing from left to right in white, clinched the title 5-3 on aggregate after losing the first leg 2-1 two weeks ago. The capacity crowd of 33,000 fans saw some fine football from the home side.
Anderlecht dominated much of the game and he Bayern Munich defence was under almost continuous pressure.
The score was 1-nil to Anderlecht when the Belgium side once again broke through the West German defence. A mistake by Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Sepp Maie, proved costly. Francois Van Der Elst was waiting and hammered the ball into the net.
In the second half, Bayern Munich came back strongly. Their striker, Gerhard Mueller, got away with the ball scoring his team's first and only goal of the match and making the score 3-1 to Anderlecht.
However, Anderlecht soon replied with an attack down the centre of the field. Resenbrink made the final score 4-1 to the Belgian team, with his second goal of the game.
