    Background: The Vice-President of the Democratic Republic of Korea, Mr. Kang Reigang Aok, arrived in Baghdad on Saturday (17 February) to begin a week-long official visit to Iraq.
    He was welcomed at Baghdad's International Airport by the Deputy Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council, Saddam Hussien, and Iraq's Foreign Minister, Murtadha Saeed Abdul Baqi. Mr. Kang arrived in Baghdad with his Deputy Minister of the People's Armed Forces, Mr. Jang Jang Fan, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yang Mon Su.
    An Iraqi Guard of Honour was at the airport when Mr. Kang's aircraft landed. After a short speech on a dais at the airport, the Korean Vice President and his party were driven to the headquarters of the R.C.C. where they were given an official reception by Sd. Saddam Hussien.
