ALI: "The punches landed -- the look of a man's face when he comes out -- that's how I rank a man. And after the Bonavena inquiry I looked like this. And plus, even at my bad performances they say, thirteen rounds I won easy. Looking bashed, and then at the end, he was in a helpless position, and they had to stop it, which has never been done before. So if you just forget what the bookies say and what the critics say, and you look at my fights with his opponents, man look at his greatest victories, Bobby Foster, 188 pounder, wouldn't do for a (INDISTINCT) for me. I'll bring my dancing shoes, but I won't need them. You see I had to do a lot of dancing when I was coming up. People like Liston, people like Chuvallo, Patterson, because I was like ahead of my time. I wasn't yet as strong as I could beat. But from here on up, when I hit them, they're going to fall, they're going to (INDISTINCT) from here on up. No more punching all day and nobody falling. Lotta big mouthing about who the champion is. I want all these people to keep talking, keep talking up until the day of the showdown. I'm going to rename them. Jack Dempsey predicts Joe Frazier will knock me out. I'm going to prove that I'm a better fighting judge than Jack Dempsey. All of the people that predict Joe Frazier's... Red Smith, great writer, predicts that Joe Frazier will knock me out. I'm not just going to whip Frazier. I'm going to whip all the so-called experts. After this one they will never predict against Muhammad Ali, never again.

Background: Muhammad Ali will fight Joe Frazier on Monday 8 March in New York City for the world heavyweight title. Some experts have predicted that Frazier will win, and point out that in former fights, Ali has beaten older men -- Frazier on the other hand is two years younger.
Ali has no such worries. In this interview, he predicts he will not only beat Frazier but defeat the experts as well.
The two boxers are due to undergo separate physical examinations tomorrow (Wednesday) at Madison Square Garden, where the 30 million dollar fight takes place next week.
