    SPORT: SKI-BOB RACING

Script is copyright Reuters Limited. All rights reserved

Background: A new type of winter sport - ski-bobbing - was seen for the first time at Cortina D'Ampezzo, Italy, Feb 26. The ski-bob is something like a bicycle with skis instead of wheels. It is steered like a bicycle, but has no means of propelling itself.

In the Cortina Ski Club event, the countries taking part were - Australia, Germany, Yugoslavia and Italy. On this course, falls were the rule rather than the exception. The winner was Albino Burger (of Italy), and in second place was Erich Brenter (of Austria).
