Background: VISNEWS filmed March 9 West German Socialist leader Erich Ollenhauer on a visit to East Berlin where he met Soviet Premier Khrushev at the Soviet Embassy.
The Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Zorin and the Soviet Ambassador to East Germany, Pervukhin, attended the two-hour talks.
A Soviet Embassy communique said questions touched on during the talks were: The conclusion of a peace treaty with Germany; the status of West Berlin; the liquidation of the "occupation regime" in West Berlin; and the strengthening of peace and security in Europe.
"There was agreement that the problems have to be solved the peaceful way through negotiations", said the statement.
It was Khruschev's first meeting a West German political leader since he arrived in East Germany March 4.
