Background: The French Ambassador to the United Nations, M. Kosciusko-Morizet, told the General Assembly yesterday that the American plan for "dual representation" for China in the United Nations, with delegates from Peking and Taiwan to be seated, was contrary to the U.N. Charter. Speaking on the third day of the debate on China, he said France would oppose any resolution that created new obstacles to the "inevitability" of China's entry.
