Background: The South Vietnamese pull-out from Laos is now said to be completed. But two days ago (Tuesday, March 23) the long, dusty, tired columns of South Vietnamese and American armoured vehicles and tanks were still making their way back along Route Nine to the comparative safety of Khe Sanh. A National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) film crew was with the column as it made its way back under the harassing sniper fire of the Viet Cong.
