Background: Burmese head of state General Ne Win departed for home on Friday (July 10) after a two-day private visit to India.
During his stay the General, who was accompanied by his wife, had informal talks with Indian Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi on South-East Asia and other world issues.
A group of Burmese residents were at New Delhi Airport to bid General Ne Win Farewell.
Mrs. Gandhi and Vice President G.S. Pathak were among those who accompanied the Burmese head of state to the aircraft before saying good-bye.
