Background: Prime minister of the Indonesian rebel movement, Mr. Sjafruddin, met the President of the Masjumi Party, Muhammad Natsir, at the latter's house in Padang, where they discussed the Indonesian crisis. The rebel leaders have declared, before their bases were bombed, that they would win their cause by the economic blockade of Java. However, the air attacks directed by the Central Government, have forced the rebel officers to plan a return to the offensive. Here, just about to serve is the rebel's military leader, Colonel Hussein. He and fellow officers were taking time off from their political worries to enjoy a game of tennis shortly before the Central Government ordered its first air attack. That's Colonel Hussein at the right, who was to announce gravely, only a few days later, that Indonesia had no alternative but civil war.. Colonel Hussein has directed the independent development of Central Sumatra for the past eighteen months.
