KEN BUCHANAN:"Roberto Duran's got a lot of things...I don't know how, he must be a superman. I don't know how I am going to meet him. Everyone seems to be telling me how great a fighter this guy is... I don't know. Everyone thinks I haven't got a chance, according to the press, the way things are going now, Roberto Duran has so many good things and Ken Buchanan...everybody says what are you going to do, Ken? I fell that he's the champion and I'm the challenger, It's the sort of position you get caught in I think, when you are the champion. You know... everybody tells you how good the challenger is and what he's all got, really like. You know, I can understand your questions... You know he's telling you what he's got and you ask me what I'm going to do about him. Well, I'm going to take him as he comes. It's always been the same pattern."
INTERVIEWER: "Buchanan has and 44 fights...only one loss. Why do you think you can beat him?"
(In his reply in Spanish, Duran says he doesn't know if he can beat Buchanan. He points out that his record is as good as the champion's -- he says he has had 28 fights and only lest one. But, he says, he doesn't know.
In another part of the interview, Duran claimed he would win the fifth in the ninth round.)
INTERVIEWER: "Of your twenty-eight fights, twenty-four were won by K.Os... nine in the first round. It doesn't sound like you're very cautious. Would you be more cautious against Buchanan?"
(In his reply in Spanish, Duran says he always rights the same way -- and it always works. He says he won't be changing his style for the fight against Buchanan.)

Roberto Duran is not awed by Buchanan's reputation. He's being trained for the fight by a former leading boxing trainer, Ray Arcel -- who has come out of retirement to help Duran prepare for this fight. Duran was interviewed about his view of the fight: his answers are in Spanish.
