Background: The Japanese Imperial family has been enjoying peace and prosperity in 1966 new year. In the imperial palace, His Majesty the Emperor comes in the room and young Prince Hiro, the first son of the Crown Prince Akihito, Her Majesty the Empress, the Crown Prince, the Prince Hitachi and Princess Hanako who returned their trip from Europe last month.
Prince Hiro enjoys with toy on the table and whole family watch him. Their Majesties the Emperor and the Empress watch the photo album of young Prince Hitachi and Princess Hanako's visit to Europe and chat each other asking impressions of European countries where they visited in October and November. Young Prince Hiro is an idol of the Imperial family and Their Majesties the Emperor and the Empress are very found of watching their grand-son as he feeds the pigeons in the imperial garden. Their Majesties the Emperor, the Empress, the Crown Prince, Prince Hitachi and Princess Hanako are exceedingly well and in high spirit.
On the other hand, Princess Michiko looks after young prince Aya who was born on the 30th November at the Crown Prince's palace as they live separately from their Majesties the Emperor and the Empress. Princess Michiko is fine too and the Crown Prince and Princess Michiko are expected to visit the foreign countries on behalf of the Emperor in the later part of 1966.
