Ashe and Okker, the second seeds, beat the top seeded South African pair, Frew McMillan and Bob Hewitt, a former Australian.
They won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
The match was played before a packed crowd in the Ellis Park courts in Johannesburg.
They saw some strong net play from all four players.
