Background: Seventy-five thousand soccer fans packed the Volkspark Stadium in Hamburg April 26, for the second-leg semi-final of the European Cup between HSV Hamburg and Barcelona.

The first half passed off without a goal being scored, although both forward liens came very near to it in the frequent attacks as the ball swept from end to end.

In a dramatic second half, the crowd cheered themselves hoarse when their side went ahead after a free kick by Hamburg's left-half 23-year old Peter Wolf, and went wild with excitement when their centre-forward, Uwe Seeler, made it two-nil soon afterwards.

As the game drew to a close, it seemed that Hamburg would go on into the semi-final with an aggregate of two goals to one - Barcelona having won the first-leg by one goal to nil - but Kocsis, the ex-Hungarian international inside-right for Barcelona, scored in the final minute.

Level at 2-2 on aggregate, both teams will play a deciding match either in Glasgow, Scotland; or Brussels, Belgium, on May 3rd.
