    Background: On Sunday more than 10,000 students and workers shouted slogans in Istanbul, Turkey urging that the Turkish Army be sent to Cyprus. Their rally was staged near the university. Some carried Turkish flags. Martial airs were sung and anti-Makarios slogans chanted. Several speakers criticized the Turkish Government over its Cyprus policy, charging it with indecision.
