Background: Robin Douglas-Home returned to London this evening after a week stay in Stockholm, where he went to study at the Esslte printing works and to ask for the Hand of Princess Margaretha, niece of King Gustav of Sweden.

Douglas-Home has come back empty handed, the rumours of an announcement of his engagement, forecasted for last week, were shattered, and now another long wait begins. Robin will return to Stockholm in the Spring and this time he may be lucky.

It is believed that King Gustav, who suggested that the couple delay any announcement for a year (which end recently), has asked them to wait just a little longer, so that they both can be sure of their affections for each other.

In an interview at London Airport Mr. Douglas-Home made the following comments ....
