TRANSCRIPT: "The game was the first for Red Sox catcher Carlton Frisk in nearly a year. The 1974 ALL Ster missed the better part of last season because of an injury, and suffered a broken arm in a spring training session game this year.
Budy Bell of Cleveland, wasted no time testing Frisk's arm--the throw had Bell beaten but Boaston shortstop Rick Berloson booted it for an error, that led to a four run rally in the first innings.
One of the runs came home on Frank Duffy's double to the wall at left-centre. The four runs were unearned built starting pitcher Jim Burton wasn't exactly impressive--he walked two and allowed three doubles in the two-thirds of an inning pitch. Rookie Burton is now nought and two.
It was a big night for Duffy--he hit this sixth inning home run off Diego Segui. Duffy was four for five...a homer, two doubles and five funs batted in.
The Red Sox are playing; much better on the road than at home this year, they're playing only five hundred balls at home--twelve games over five hundred on the road.
The Indians skipper Frank Robinson had a good night as well as Duffy, he drove in a pair of run with this single and earlier hit a him run. Robinson's eighth this season and five-hundred-eighty-second of his earner but Robinson's team still has the worst record in the American League.
Dave Laroche protected the win for rookie Eric Rasche, ending the game on a double play. Rasche is three and two since being called up from the minor leagues a month ago.
