Background: Cambodian Government troops searching countryside near the village of An Satha uncovered supplies belonging to pro-Sihanouk forces recently.
The Communist troops had left the area without fighting the Government forces and Cambodian villagers revealed where the supplies were hidden.
Four nearly-new motorcycles were among equipment captured. The most important find was a cache containing 2,500 pounds (1,100 kgs) of rice.
The finds came as Government troops swept through the area where they believed communist troops were gathering rice supplies.
At present the military situation in Cambodia is relatively quiet with the Government reported to be resparing for a resumption of its major offensive around Phnom Penh.
