TRANSCRIPT SEQ 7: VON KEVICZKY: "This photograph is the first authenticated picture of a UFO emergency landing (indistinct). The picture was made by an Italian engineer (name given but indistinct). In the year of 1973, between October 11 and 19, a formal invasion was carried out by the Galactic Task Forces between the Gulf of Mexico and the Great Lakes area. One of the main events of this action, which was a peaceful manoeuvre of the Task Forces, that a policeman photographed a space robot. Ladies and gentlemen, the UFO problem is an international problem and especially a vital and security problem of all the nations. The trouble is that we are talking only about the UFOs, but nobody likes to do anything. And I am glad that this conference aims to present that marvellous documentation what we are presenting to the congress, number one to the authorised United Nations Outer Space affairs Committee to do something. And our second aim: to request the President of the United states, Jimmy Carter, to intervene at the congress, that all of the nations should have, or they should donate a territory where all the nations research could unite."



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The Encyclopedia Britannica states that the working hypothesis firmly adopted by scientists has been simply that all UFO reports arise from natural but misinterpreted objects or phenomena, or are out-and-out hoaxes, or hallucinations. Only after many years, because of the stubborn global persistence of the UFO phenomenon, has this working hypothesis been questioned. It adds that the scientific community, generally speaking, has laboured under the misconception that UFO reports are necessarily made by untutored, untrained and gullible people. While that is true of many UFO reporters, such generalisation is not permissible. "A surprising number of UFO reports have been made by stable, well-trained and articulate observers. UFO sightings by such observers merit serious study."

Background: INTRODUCTION And now for something from outer space......the first international congress on unidentified flying object phenomena opened in Acapulco, Mexico, on Monday (18 April). According to one speaker from the United States, the congress was faced with prejudice similar to that which afflicted the Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei, whose claim that the earth orbited the sun challenged incorrect existing beliefs.

SYNOPSIS: The congress was held in the modern convention centre of the Port of Acapulco and attracted delegates from several different countries. Reports of unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, have been made virtually in every country in the world and the reports bear a certain similarity to each other.

The list of speakers included Sir Eric Gairy, Prime Minister of the West Indian island Grenada, as well as delegated from Europe, the United States and South America. Another speaker listed was Erich Von Daniken, author of "Chariot of the Gods" which dealt with visits from outer space.

Mr. Colman Von Keviczky, a Hungarian who now lives in the United States, claimed that the congress would occupy a place in human history that might prove more significant than the events surrounding Galileo in the 17th century. Mr. Von Keviczky is director of a body called the Inter - continental Galactic Spacecraft U.F.O. Research and Analytic Network. He also claimed that the earth was invaded in 1973.
