    Vance Statement: We had a good discussion. Covered a number of different subjects and we'll be continuing discussions this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

    Vance: I won't go into detail of discussions with Cabinet. They were useful.



    Begin's statement: The secretary brought me a personal hand-written message from Carter. Both of us are obliged not to reveal contents of message and I'm grateful to the secretary for the message delivered and I express gratitude to the President.



    We'll continue talks and I hope Vance will succeed in bringing back talks between Egypt and Israel so they can be resumed and peace process renewed.
