Background: A four-member delegation from the Japanese Diet arrived in Israel on Tuesday (5 August) for a goodwill visit.
They called on Mr. Israel Yeshayahu the Speaker of the Israeli ??? (Parliament), and made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Yitshak Rabin.
The delegation is Mashami Kobayashi, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Japanese House of Representatives; Toshio Yamagushi, deputy chairman of the Health and Social Welfare Committee; Tokuyo Yamashita, deputy Minister for Health and Social Welfare; and Keiro Murata, director of the House's Building Committee.
Accompanying the visitors are Mrs. Yamagushi, Mrs. Murata and Mr. Yamashita's daughter.
