Background: 155 fake dies, used by the Belgian Resistance Movement to stamp passports, identity papers, work passes and so on, were shown to the Belgian Defence Minister, M. Arthur Gilson, on Nov 29. The Minister was receiving a delegation from the National Union of the Decorated of Belgium, lead by its president, M. Joiris,
The dies were the work of M. Pierard, engraver of the National Bank, who was decorated with the George Medal by King George VI of England for his Resistance activities.

The fake German dies will be given a permanent home in the Army's Royal Museum.
