Background: An executive meeting of the Japan medical Association met in Tokyo to plan the opening of the World Medical Assembly .... and was completely broken up by demonstrating students.

The Japan Medical Association was trying to ensure that the World Medical Assembly meeting world go smoothly.

But the students appeared to have other ideas.

They managed to enter the Japan medical building and break into the room where the executive meeting was taking place.

The students were demanding a reply from the President of the Japanese Medical Association Dr. Taro Takemi, to whom they had previously written an open letter.

The students, mostly belonging to the medical faculty, are attempting to stop the World Medical Assembly taking place.

Police broke up the rowdy demonstration and made several arrests.
