    Background: In the Ogaden war in Eastern Ethiopia, the Western Somali Liberation front in their drive towards the city of Harar, have captured a wide range of weapons from Ethiopian forces. Until recently they had met only pockets of resistance, and seized many arms made in China, the United States and the Soviet Union.

    SYNOPSIS: After their relentless ??? across the desert, the Somali forces are now again in different kind of warfare. Mount Borfig, the site of these wrecked radar instruction is typical of the ???. Most of the action is centred on the mountains in eastern Ethiopia. In a fierce battle near Harar lest week Reuters reports Danad, the Liberation from newspaper, as saying that fleeing Ethiopian troops left behind then large quantities of ammunition, building material and medicine. The guerrillas reported that in the Babile region, about 30 kilometres (18 miles) from Harar, they had killed 120 Ethiopian soldiers of the Ethiopian People's Military. They also said that 105 militiamen had been captured during the week.
