Background: For those who are seriously interested in the finer points of children's wear this is a show to see.
In the salons of the Excelsior Hotel, Rome, a special "coval???" of children's wear for the Spring and Summer was held today.
Organized by the Roman Association for Hunts Couture, this series of models is the property of the "Casa dsi Bambini" under Mr. Eingone Francisco. Francisco's slogan is, "Eingone dresses all children in Rome."
The models were shown by children whose ages ranged from three to six years.
The occasion was well received by the adult audience whose indulgence - and sympathy - went out to the small mannequins, some of whom seemed in imminent danger of falling off the platform in their bewilderment. Some needed the guiding hand of an adult to make the journey along the platform and back.
Never mind, all in all those tiny tots put on a very good show, as they paraded in night gowns, pyjamas, dresses and suits for mornings, elegant afternoon wear, beach suits and bathing suits, dresses in striped solid colours and printed designs. There were also dresses and suits for ceremonial occasions (pages and damsels at weddings etc) and suits and gowns for first Communion.
