Background: The defense of Tuy Hoa Air Base in South Vietnam is a coordinated effort of U.S. Air Force Combat Security Police (AP's) and Republic of Korea-Army combat units. The operation centers around the intelligence officer with the 637th Combat Security Police Squadron. He has the responsibility of deploying Air Force defenders on base and coordination of these activities with Korean patrol off base.
The intelligence officer makes frequent helicopter reconnaissance flights around the perimeter of the air base noting anything suspicious. He then meets with Officer-in-Charge of the Koreans and discusses with him where to deploy armed squads in night ambush.
