Background: The Ministers of Tourism from three East African countries, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, met in Nairobi on Friday (15th May) to discuss mutual problems.

The meeting is the first of its kind since the three countries formed the East African community two-and-a-half years ago. At the talks are Mr. Juxon shako of Kenya, Mr. Hasnu Mekamo of Tanzanie, and Alex Ojera from Uganda.

Among subject being discussed are ways in which the two countries can co-operate on the development and promotion of tourism.
