Angela Kondrak passed out after more than fifteen hours the water. She was rescued by the crew of her escort boat and later recovered in hospital.
Angela began the swim lad last Friday night from Younstown, New York State, U.S.A., and by Saturday afternoon she was less tan six miles from the opposite shore.
But she met increasing difficulties--high waves and strong winds. A combination of fatigue and the bad weather finally proved too much for her.
