Background: These are the first pictures taken of a remarkable development in the control of police dogs.

Walkie-talkie is the basis of it. The owner of the dog, Mr Finn Lund, of Fredrikstad, in Norway, has ben training this dog for many years. By radio he passes commands to his dog who receives his master's voice through a small receiver strapped on the back.

A command - and the dog leaps into action, obeying every order of his trainer. Some remarkable results have been obtained with the device. The dog responds accurately and immediately to orders like TURN LEFT, TURN RIGHT, BRING HIM DOWN, HUNT FOR FOOTPRINT.

Undoubtedly the most amazing feat is the ability of the animal to retrieve a small red flag in a Field three-quarters of a mile away from the controller. To achieve this the dog went right away out of sight and went to work on a series of detailed instructions given over the radio.

Mr Lund proposes to visit police forces in many countries where dogs are used for police work to try to interest them in his radio controlled system for dogs.
