Background: In Turkey, moves are continuing to solve the crisis caused by the Justice Party's withdrawal of support for Dr. Erim's government. There've been a number of consultations between party leaders and the Turkish President.
This film, from Sungar Taylaner, shows the leader of the Justice Party, Mr. Suleyman Demirel, arriving for talks with President Cevdet Sunay, and holding a press conference afterwards.
SYNOPSIS: In Turkey, efforts continue to solve the latest cabinet crisis. It followed the decision of the five ministers of the Justice Party, led by Mr. Suleyman Demirel, to resign from the coalition as a display of no confidence in the Government.
Mr. Demirel on Friday held talks with President Cevdet Sunay and later met newsmen outside the Presidential residence.
Dr. Nihat Erim's Government took office six months ago in coalition with the Justice Party, the largest party in Parliament. Troubles arose over the Justice Party's Opposition to reforms to which Dr. Erim is committed and which Mr. Demirel says are against its political aims.
