    Background: One result of the violence in Tripoli, North Lebanon, has been a fuel shortage in Beirut, which was highly felt today as each motorist was given less that one gallon each. Tanker trucks had come under fire in Tripoli, and their owners had stopped running them. The government commandeered the trucks, but the main supply had been coming from Tripoli.
