Background: On March 14th, the Ministry of National Defence of the People's Republic of China, gives a welcoming meeting in honour of the visiting Cambodian Military Delegation, headed by Lieutenant General Lon No.
Present on the occasion are Senior General Lo Jui-ching, Vice-Premier and Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and Tsai Ting-kai, Vice-Chairman of the National Defence Council. Over two thousand generals and officers of the three services of the Chinese People's Liberation Army are also present.
Senior General Lo Jui-ching pays tribute to the people and army of the Kingdom of Cambodia for their valiant struggle in defence of Cambodia's independence and sovereignty and against the subversion, intrigues and provocations of imperialism.
Senior General Lo Jui-ching declares that the Chinese people and their Liberation Army firmly support the Cambodian people in their just, patriotic struggle. Lieutenant General Lon No says: He will never allow others to trample on our independence. The Cambodian people will never retreat; they will combat aggression launched by imperialism and its lackeys.
Also present at the meeting are Prince Norodom Naradipo, son of Prince Norodom Sihanouk, who is studying in Peking and other distinguished Cambodian guests presently in the Chinese capital.
