    Background: The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pietro Neni, arrived in Belgrade yesterday (26 May). This is Mr. Neni's first official state visit to Yugoslavia.

    At the Belgrade airport Minister Neni and his associates were greeted by the Yugoslav State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mirko Tepavac, Deputy Secretary Mr. Mitja Voshnyak, Yugoslav Ambassador in Rome Mr. Srdja Prica, and other high officials of the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry.

    The Italian Ambassador in Yugoslavia, Mr. Folco Trabalza, and his staff were also present at the airport.

    After the welcome ceremony, Minister Neni and his host Mr. Tepavac left the airport.

    On the programme of Mr. Neni's visit are talks in the Yugoslav Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Mr. Tepavac and his associates, which will take place today (27 May). Later on Mr. Neni will be received by Mr. Edvard Kardel, Member of the Council of Federation, and afterwards by the President of Yugoslav Government, Mr. Mitja Ribicic. Late in the afternoon, Minister Neni will see Mr. Mika Spilyak, President of the Council of Nations of the Federal Assembly.

    The Italian-Yugoslav talks will continue tomorrow, Wednesday (28 May), when Mr. Neni is expected to be received by President Tito.
