    President Ahmed Hassan Al- Bakr announced on Tuesday (8/12) the nationalization of the remaining foreign shares in the Basrah Petroleum Company. The President's announcement was made in a speech he broadcasted through Radio and T.V. Network. In the Speech President Al- Bakr reviewed the nationalization March Since 1st of June 1972 .. President Al- Bakr also dealt with present Critical phase of Arab history and the hazards which threaten the Arab Nation's Unity and International prestige.



    He also made it Clear that the present setbacks resulting from ferocious imperialist Conspiracy is only a result of shortsighted policies and Wrong attitudes by certain Arab regimes which the A.B.S.P. detected long time ago and urged those Concerned to reconsider their policies courageously.



    President Al- Bakr pointed in his address to events in Lebanon and Called for a halt in the fighting raging there to restore Peace and security and resolve all disputes by constructive dialogue.



    President Al- Bakr Warned the isolationist and reactionary forces against carrying out their zionist - imperialist schemes.
