SYNOPSIS: Wales, playing from left to right, apply the pressure on Scotland shortly before half time in their Rugby Union international played in Edinburgh today (Saturday). From a lineout, Taylor dives in for a try, which was converted, to lead 8-6 at the change. Scotland kicked off to start the second half, urged on by a huge local crowd.
Only minutes after the break, Wales scored again with a brilliant try by Edwards on the Scottish defence's blind side. Wales failed to convert.
However Scotland were quick to retaliate from a lineout only yards from the touch line. Carmichael was the scorer.
The conversion was missed but soon after Scotland received a penalty which was put to full advantage and they took the lead by a single point, 12-11. However, Wales were back in the lead a few minutes later when Scotland failed to pick up a loose ball and Johns went over for a try. The conversion was missed and Wales led 14-12.
Scotland snatched back the lead minutes from the end with a converted penalty. They went further ahead a few minutes later with a try and conversion making it 18-14 their way and the match seemed to be theirs.
