Crown Prince Albert is in Egypt as part of his current Middle-East tour.
After President Sadat welcomed his guest, the two men -- together with Egyptian Prime Minister Mamdouh Salem --- and their aides began their talks. A wide range of topics were discussed, and Egyptian officials later described the meeting as "friendly and fruitful."
It's believed the main topics of conversation were the cultural, political ??? economic links between Belgium and Egypt.
After the meeting, Crown Prince Albert said he was "delighted with the friendly and open manner of President Sadat.
He said he looked forward to a strengthening of ties between the two countries.
