Background: President Idi Amin of Uganda is on a three day visit to neighbouring Sudan.

SYNOPSIS: On Friday (19 November) President Amin accompanied the Sudanese leader, President Ja'afar al-Nimeiry, on a tour of the Nile River in the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

After their Nile tour, the two presidents went to the Khartoum mosque to take part in a prayer service. During his stay, the Ugandan leader will have a series of talks with President Nimeiry and Sudanese officials.

President Amin was accompanied on his trip by several senior Ugandan officials including his ministers for finance, transport and commerce. While in the Sudan he will also visit the town of Port Sudan. The Ugandan leader arrived in Sudan on Thursday (18 November) and was scheduled to leave three days later.
