SYNOPSIS: A group of 40 Professors from universities and colleges in the United States is at present on a tour of the Ivory Coast. The trip is organised under the Foreign Study League...an organisation which each year arranges trips abroad for American teachers during the summer vacation.
This group is making a tour of West African nations, but the Ivory Coast is the only French speaking country they'll visit. They arrived from Sierra Leone on July 8. During their stay the visitors are billeted at the University of Abidjan.
After a tour of the main market place in Abidjan, the group was driven to a plantation outside the city. They were told of the methods used to grow coca, pineapples and bananas at the plantation...one of the most productive in the area.
