Background: India's President Giri visited a crocodile farm near Bangkok on Wednesday (29 March), the last full day of his state visit to Thailand.
The Indian President spend over an hour at the farm, questioning staff on feeding habits and general care of the crocodiles.
The Geneva-based International Union on conservation of Nature recommended last year that India should develop a similar farm for crocodiles. Identical care and attention are expected to be deployed in India -- should plans for the farm go ahead -- and Thai experts may be going there in the near future to help with initial planning.
