    ON THE OPENING DAY, THEY WERE WELCOMED IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BY MR. SOUMARE DIARAMOUNA, MAURITANIA'S MINISTER FOR COMMERCE AND TRANSPORT.

    THIS WAS THE 20TH SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF INSURANCE CONTROL FOR AFRICAN, FRENCH AND MALAGASY STATES (C.I.C.A.).

    BEFORE THEM WAS A PROPOSAL TO SIMPLIFY AND CLARIFY THE DRAWING UP OF INSURANCE AGREEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE FRANCOPHONE COUNTRIES.

    IN HIS OPENING ADDRESS, MR. SOUMARE DIARAMOUNA CONVEYED THE GOOD WISHES OF HIS GOVERNMENT TO THE ASSEMBLED DELEGATES. HE SPECIALLY WELCOMED THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE FOR TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT (UNCTAD) WHO ATTENDED THE SESSION AS AN OBSERVER.
