The Delhi State Council for Child Welfare today held an International Childrens Fair at Qudsia Gardens in connection with the National Children's Day.

Background: The Delhi State Council for Child Welfare today held an International Childrens Fair at Qudsia Gardens in connection with the National Children's Day.
Elaborate plans had been made to entertain children of all nationalities in the Capital at a lively party. More than fifteen embassies agreed to take part in the fair.
Russian boys and girls dance and mingle with the kiddies of other nations. Merry-go-rounds and all the paraphernalia of the fairground are kept going all the time keeping the children happy and occupied.
Indian and American children join forces for a ride on an elephant through the grounds; and a juggler shows off his monkey to entranced youngsters.
Dr. Prasad, the Indian President, watches over the proceedings with paternal eye.
This International Fair, which took place the day before the 68th birthday of the Prime Minister, Mr. Nehru, is intended to draw the public's attention to the needs of under-privileged children.
