SYNOPSIS: The Indian Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, arrived in London on Friday for talks with British leaders on the Indo-Pakistan situation and other major international developments. Mrs. Gandhi has flown from Vienna to London to continue her three-week tour of Western Europe and the United States.
Mrs. Gandhi was met at the airport by British Government officials, including the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary, Sir Alec-Douglas Home. She was scheduled to address the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London later on Friday evening, and then was to attend a reception at Indian House given by the Indian High Commissioner, Mr. Apa Pant. Political observers, commenting or Mrs. Gandhi's foreign tour, have speculated that she will receive generous offers of aid for the refugees now housed in special camps following their flight from East Pakistan since the declaration of martial law in March this year. Her official schedule in Britain includes talks with Prime Minister Edward Heath on Saturday evening, and an audience with Queen Elizabeth on Monday. Her official visit to Britain will end on Wednesday morning, when she leaves for Washington.
