Background: The summit meeting on Chadian crisis which was scheduled for Saturday 18th was put off till Sunday 19th August. The Chadian factions which had been at a meeting throughout last week were able to reach some agreement.
The new move on Chadian crisis is sequel to the decision of the last QAU Summit in Monrovia, Liberia which requested Nigeria to make another attempt at resolving it. President Ahmadou Ahidjo of Cameroun was in attendance at the summit and other participating Heads of State - Libya, Sudan, Central Africa Republic, Niger also sent in their representatives.
