Background: A major Chinese economic and trade exhibition is currently pulling in the crowds in Yaounde. Cameroun's Minister of Industrial and Commercial Development, M. Yousoufa Daouda, opened the show last thursday (24 April).

Following the opening ceremony, M. Daouda and several other Camerounian Ministers were taken round the exhibition, and shown some of the 2,400 articles on display by Chinese officials.

Both M. Daouda and Chinese Ambassador Wei Pao-shan praised existing friendship; between their two countries, and expressed the hope that the exhibition would help develop trade relations and cooperation.
