C.U. Kenneth Robinson.
TRANSCRIPT: Mr Robinson. "I said that I would negotiate on everything in the contract except the level of remuneration and I have explained in my letter, which the leaders now have, and which is being considered why I feel that the level of remuneration must go to the review body, the independent review body which exists for that purpose".
Interviewer. "you say that the chart contains very far reaching proposals, do you think the Doctors are asking for too much"
Mr Robinson. "Well when I said far reaching proposals in my letter I meant the changes in the times of the contract method of remuneration are far reaching, after all these are the only basic changes that have been put forward since the National Health service started."
Interviewer. "If the resignation notices continue to come in from the Doctors will you break of the talks."
Mr Robinson. "I have made it clear that the talks will only be broken off if the notices are actually handed in, and in the light of the letter I sent them which I think they will agree is consiliatory. I cannot really believe that these notices will in fact be sent in."
