Background: To boost tourisms, Tahiti builds a new airport for jet airliners outside the capital Papeete.

Constant streams of trucks carry filling from beaches and quarries to the site of the airport and runway - due for completion November.

Meanwhile the old airport at Bora Bora - two miles away - continues to operate its 20-year-old flying boat for tourists. Among the attractions on the island: the traditional native belly dancing.
