SYNOPSIS: Herr Lamberz is in Ethiopia following his unexpected trip to Marxist South Yeman for talks on what have been described as current international questions.
He was given a warm welcome by his Ethiopian counterpart Captain Fikre Selassie Wogderess and other high ranking Ethiopian Government officials. Herr Lamberz is heading a high-level delegation visiting Ethiopia at the invitation of the country's leader Lieutenant-Colonel Mengistu Hale Mariam.
This is Herr Lamberz's third visit to Ethiopia in less than a year, and according to observers he has already begun discussions with the leaders of the country which has recently become the focus of a marked increase in East German involvement in African affairs.
Lamberz and the official welcoming party walked to the airport lounge, where he later told newsmen, that forthcoming talks would be fruitful and enable the two countries to establish closer relations.
