Italian driver Carlo Rasini today (Sunday) won the annual six-hour power boat race along the River Seine, in Paris.

Background: Italian driver Carlo Rasini today (Sunday) won the annual six-hour power boat race along the River Seine, in Paris. The race attracted competitors from Britain, Italy, Ireland, Holland, Sweden, the United States, Canada, France and several other countries.
Rasini completed 112 laps of the 4,700 metres (about three-mile) course to win the race.
Power boats of varying sizes sets off at II in the morning, intent on covering the maximum number of laps within the six-hour limit.
Spectators lined the bridges of Paris as the boats roared by below. A partly sponsored event, the race is organised by the Yacht Moteur Club De France.
