    Background: The Kenya Nationalist leader, Mr.Tom Mboya, injured in a car crash July 30 in the Voi district 200 miles east of Nairobi, was flown to Nairobi July 31 and taken by ambulance to hospital. Despite head, hip and arm injuries, he looked cheerful and was stated to be progressing satisfactorily Aug 1.

    Mr.Mboya a strong opponent of British troop reinforcements in Kenya, had been addressing a meeting of tribesmen in the Voi district. Returning to Nairobi, his car collided with another car, bounced off the road and hit a tree.
